Unlike some of our other rigs built for media, long-haul overlanding trips, and so on, this 2024 Ford Raptor is a KC company vehicle that sees action both on the trail and on the daily commute. It is driven daily by our CEO, but also travels for trail runs, events, and more. It’s a proving ground for our latest products that also allows us to have a fun rig for everything from shuttling mountain bikes to the trails to event support.

This Raptor isn’t overbuilt. It’s streamlined, functional, and showcases exactly how KC’s lighting, power, and rack systems integrate into a real-world setup.

Why build out a Gen 3 Raptor?

The 3rd Gen Ford Raptor stands out as one of the most capable off-the-lot trucks in the off-road world, with killer suspension, locking diffs, fancy drive modes, and a pedigree built for speed and rugged terrain. But more than that, it represents a core segment of KC’s customer base: performance-based truck owners who demand both trail capability and refined daily drivability.

For us at KC, it’s important that we own and experience the same vehicles our customers do. By building out our own Raptor, we can use it as an R&D platform and showcase our recommendations for it. This allows us to develop and refine vehicle-specific lighting setups, test new integrations like power systems, and form real-world opinions on what works best for a Raptor versus, say, a Jeep or Land Cruiser.

Every vehicle demands a different approach to lighting placement, beam patterns, and mounting solutions. What works on a rock crawler won’t always translate to a high-speed desert truck. Owning this Raptor gives us firsthand experience so we can better serve our customers with tailored solutions and expert recommendations that are tested, trusted, and proven.
