On May 16th, 2019, KC hosted our first ever Tailgate Party at our facility here in Northern Arizona. There was tons of free food, drinks and even coffee! More importantly, there were many great attendees that showed up! It was a great opportunity to hang out with the whole KC team. Many talked shop with us and got some cool insights, and others had a blast receiving a tour of our headquarters. Our Tailgate Party was the day before the 2019 Overland Expo West, and we loved having all of the visitors from out-of-town come by and say hi on their way to the Expo. A huge thank you to all of those that made it to our Tailgate Party! For those that didn’t, don’t worry as we’re going to be doing more events like this with even more fun.
Some awesome industry partners were there also sponsoring this event to help provide you all with food and drinks for free! Partners included: Black Rifle Coffee Company, Canyon Coolers, Icon Vehicle Dynamics Suspension, 511.Tactical, Tread Lightly, Rugged Radios, Roam Adventure Co., OVRLND Campers, and Historic Brewing Company. Other awesome attendees included (Instagram handles): @trailrecon @themountainproject @jillianrebekah @vtwexplore @trucky_mctruckface @katethejeep @adv_driven @lost.sasquatch and way more!!
Perhaps one of the most fun aspects of this event was the collaboration brew with Historic Brewing Company. Together with Historic and OVRLND Campers, we brewed a fantastic beer. The Mall Crawler IPL, was a collaboration beer in celebration of all things outdoors, exploration, and adventure. The idea for this beer was inspired by Overland Expo West, a huge weekend long expo that combines seminars, a film festival, a trade show and more. This expo takes place in Flagstaff each year and brings in adventure enthusiasts from all over the world. The Mall Crawler IPL, an India Pale Lager, is a hybrid style between an IPA and a Lager. This balanced beer had the hop flavor of an IPA without being too aggressive, and the crisp clean finish of a lager. It had an IBU of 55 and an ABV of 5% and was straw in color.
