Reviews

  • "Almost too bright, but I love it. Maybe the 100 watt model would be better than these 130's if your eyes are sensitive to bright lights. Exactly what my 2004 Dodge Ram needed because the factory headlights stink. My brights were no brighter than my low beam, and my old 1985 Nissan had brighter brights, but these KC 130 watt driving lights solved that problem perfectly.

For not being the full, long range lights KC offers, they sure shine pretty far, plus spread the light out to the sides and up into the trees, a good long range / flood combination. I mounted them to my push/brush guard. Took about 3 hours to install because I like to route, hide, and secure the wires very well.

I connected the white switch / relay hot wire to my high beam (brights)wire on the drivers side, so they go on and off with my high / low switch, plus I have the master switch mounted (without the switch frame) near the dash to keep the KC lights off completely if I want. Just make sure you dim your lights (turn off the KC's) before you see anyone ahead of you or you'll blind them and can get a ticket if on a public road. First night I tried them a big 8 point ran across the road in front of me, then stopped and pretty much "tip toed" off the road as if he was totally blind and afraid to move. So beware of animals freezing in front of you with these things. I turned them off and honked so he could run away. And no, I don't hunt that way."

"These lights are awesome really bright and have accomplished what i was trying to achieve. You turn them off at nark thirty and it makes it look like daytime"

  • "The KC brand lights are simply the best. I know there are several types of these offroad lights on the market, but I prefer KC for the quality. These lights appear heavy duty and mounted up easily to my brush guard center bar. The electrical was easy to hookup since the directions are very straightforward. Basically you run the wiring to a relay with the outlets going to the battery and switch. It took me awhile to fish the wires through a small grommet in my firewall, but the other part of the hookup was easy. Coming from the lights is a plastic chrome flex tubing that hides the wires from the lights to under the hood so you don't see the wires at all from the lights...very clean! The lights adjust by hand to the direction you want."

  • "These lights are top notch. Bright as hell.

It's not too tough to put together, either. They fit nicely on my bull bar. Although, it would be nice if the directions were dumbed down a bit for people who don't have experience with these types of things.

As for the ugly as heck covers, a little plastidip made those look better, rather than wasting your money on covers you'd actually like.

I changed the cheap ugly switch for something with a little more flash - a missile-style switch, with the flip-open cover. Really looks cool, too!

All in all, if I could go back, I'd still buy these lights. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants a nice set of off-road lights."

  • "Nothing overwhelmingly amazing, but does provide a good amount of extra driving light. We will see how they handle the frigid sub arctic temperatures of the Alaskan interior this winter."

  • "Fast shipping, looks excellent on a 07 f250 bull bar. These lights are fairly bright, goes to say that a newly installed bulb isnt. Kit instructions can be confusing but remember every car and truck is different. Everything is replacable if a component fails. Best of all the light kit has a 23 year warranty."

  • "Great set of lights, I mounted on a rugged ridge light bar for a jeep wrangler. Bought them for their light output, and their metal instead of plastic casing. Plus the 23 year warranty is hard to ignore ;-) I had a previous set on another jeep (plastic) casing started cracking and KC stood by there product and replaced the light. So good past experience with the company.

Ending up using most of the wiring harness that is included with the kit, made for an easy install. Included relay, wire harness and switch. I had my own switch panel I wanted to use and I had to add some length to the part of the harness leading to the lights as the harness was too short for my application.

Lights themselves, metal body, glass lense, very nice quality, and well made. Some nice features include the mounting hardware (spacers and bushing) really give a nice foundation. I did end up having to grind off part of the stud (bolt) used to mount the light, just too long for my application. I did also like the metal loom and included grommet used for the wires the leading to the light housing gives a very clean look.

Over all I had a custom application so some tweaking was involved, but very pleased, function great, really put my headlights to shame. Very bright, and excellent quality."

  • "These lights are big. They were bought to go on my bull bar but the holes were located where the lights would hit the s I De of the bar and when tightened down they would only point down. By drilling ne, w holes. I was able to install these lights and they are awesome. Bright is not the right word.. I recommend these to anyone. Easy to install wiring, great looks, and KC quality and without measure."

  • "Love these lights!!! very bright and put out an amazing amount of light definitely money well spent... I have these mounted to a light bar on my Chevy Blazer and have no complaints what so ever. arrived on time and came with everything wiring harness included. easy installation with clip ins for the wiring to the KC lights took me less than 15 minutes to get it all on and working. would consider these to anyone looking for quality off road lighting no questions asked. I will be getting more for future projects and again very happy with this order."
